Here to support you through grief, love and life.
Here to support you through grief, love and life.
Bluemind counselling and psychotherapy service specialises in (but not limited to) bereavement and grief counselling.
Grieving is a complex and highly individual process that occurs with a loss. Whether a death-related loss (losing a dear human being or beloved pet) or a non-death related interpersonal loss (losing physical or mental ability, ending a relationship, losing a human right or certainty in the future) . A loss can take various shades and activate mourning, fearfulness or past wounds in us.
On the one hand, someone who has been losing a family member to a life-limiting condition may be faced with cumulative, prolonged or anticipatory grief, which lacks closure. On the other hand, someone who has experienced a sudden or unexpected death in their life may be in need of early grief interventions to manage shock and disbelief.
Sometimes we can't talk to the close people around us about what our pain and loss feel like, sometimes, confiding in a professional can help. Bluemind counselling can play an important role in supporting you with grief, love and life. We will meet each emotion with kindness not judgement, with patience not dismissal.
Bluemind counselling and psychotherapy provides a space of empathy and impartialness, with the hope you could bring your whole-self and whatever arises in the process of this work - your inherent wisdom as well as struggles, your strength as well as challenges – all of which have many ways of guiding us towards what is important for you.
Offering in-person or video sessions, short-term (6-8 sessions) or longer term (open-ended) depending on your needs. Please reach out to book a free initial 20-minute consultation.

My name is Milena, I am a fully qualified counsellor and psychotherapist.
Prior to becoming a counsellor I have worked in the music & events industry.
I have trained with Cruse Bereavement Care and have worked as a Bereavement Support Practitioner with the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow.
I currently work as an EAP Counsellor with Health Assured and CiC . In my private practice
I continue to seek ways of supporting individuals on their unique paths of overcoming emotional turmoil and hardships.
I look forward to hearing from you.

At the heart of my practice is the person-centred approach to counselling and psychotherapy. This is a type of talking therapy, in which I help people explore their inner worlds, hear their own hearts, recognise their truth and meaning, which may guide them to transformational changes.
I am also well-versed in solution-focused brief therapy and trauma-informed frameworks like somatics.
Central to my work is our therapeutic relationship, I will not offer platitudes, nor sugar coat your challenges. When appropriate, I may offer carefully selected resources and techniques for coping and relief; all in support of your therapy goals.

We arrange a free 20-min call to talk through what's bringing you in and allow you to explore whether this feels like the right fit.
If it feels aligned, we'll schedule your first session and we'll begin working with what's emerging and track your needs on your mental health journey.
